BJA Architects has been involved with the design of several public schools, private schools,  vocational training centres, language educational facilities, sports centres, polytechnics and universities in New Zealand which required close working relationship and support from the  Ministry of Education,  Board of Trustees and client agencies.

This work has included specialist school facilities, Master planning of the site, assessment of new needs, repairs and maintenance programmes, new capital works projects, new school halls, Information Technology Centres, School Library and Computer suites, specialist technology classrooms based on the latest Property Management requirements from the Ministry of Education.

We are also involved with the designs of Early Childhood centres and preschool facilities. 

We participate with ongoing training seminars and workshops organized by the Ministry of Education and we are on the Ministry list as an accredited consultant. 

BJA has also been involved in preparing 5YA and 10 YPP assessments for schools and provided project management services to Schools from assessing schools needs, registering on GETS for projects ranging from upgrading of existing facilities, designing new capital works projects and managing the construction of new facilities and alterations. We are very conversant with MOE’s  criteria for improving disabled access modifications for schools.
